Head Girl and Head Boy

We are incredibly proud to introduce our Head Girl and Head Boy - two exceptional Year 6 pupils who have been chosen for their consistent excellence, mature outlook, and the positive influence they have on others. They are ambassadors for the school, supporting staff and pupil voice, but with quiet confidence, kindness, and a deep commitment to making our school the best it can be.

School Prefects

At Deanshanger Primary, we believe in nurturing leadership from a young age. Our Year 6 Prefects are chosen for their outstanding attitude, reliability, and ability to lead by example. These pupils represent the very best of our school values - showing kindness, integrity, and a strong commitment to our school community.

Our prefects support younger pupils, assist with responsibilities across the school, and act as role models for others. As a school council, we meet every Tuesday lunchtime in the meeting room to discuss ideas and projects to help improve our school. Our head boy and head girl do a great job chairing the meetings and ensure everyone’s ideas are heard.  We then create action plans and split the jobs up so we can work together to achieve great things!
