If you would like to find out about school places, please contact us in the first instance so that we can welcome you to the school; ordinarily, we would meet you and show you around the school as this is the perfect way for you to get a feel for our school and for us to answer any questions you might have and support transition for your child/children. At the current time, however, this is no possible as we are minimising risk and external visitors are not permitted. Please still make contact with us though as we can set up a virtual meeting or phone call.
The Foundation Stage team have made a virtual tour video for new parents to the school to enjoy - it's not quite the same as an in-person visit, but it should be a good starting point.
As a two form entry school, our standard admission is 60 children per year group. The majority of our children live in Deanshanger but we have approximately 39 families that live in nearby towns or villages.
In Northamptonshire, children are eligible to start school (in foundation stage year) in the September following their 4th birthday. Applications are via Northamptonshire County Council before mid-January each year. National Allocation Day, (16th April) is the time when you will hear which school they have been allocated, they can then enjoy seven happy years here until moving on to a secondary school
Whilst the start of term is a good time to join us, children start their learning journey with us at all times of the year and a mutually agreed day is considered based on 'best fit' for individual children and families.
Admission to the school is governed by the local authority, Northamptonshire County Council and school places are allocated through them. Oversubscription procedures are followed according to the priority of places section.
