Red Nose Day is back at DPS. The world needs a life-changing laugh more than ever, so we'd love you to join in the fun. Please see some lovely pictures of our child enjoying wearing red noses and clothes for a great cause.
What an amazing experience for our foundation stage children.
They witnessed the wonderful moment the chicks hatched. The eggs wobbled and and the children heard cheeping from within the egg, just before they hatched.
Deanshanger Good Neighbours (a working party of the Parish Council) is organising some activities for Easter to cheer us all up!!
Hi all
Opening our doors to all children across the school from Monday 8th March is a positive step forward; it is one that we are keen to do well to minimise risks and have as many happy children (and adults) as possible. The return of an extra 270 extra children (we have 364 in total) is very exciting but needs to be handled extremely carefully.
World Book Day changes lives through a love of books and shared reading. Our mission is to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own. Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success – more than their family circumstances, their parents’ educational background or their income. We want to see more children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, with a life-long habit of reading for pleasure and the improved life chances this brings them. Designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, World Book Day is marked in over 100 countries around the globe.
