DPS - Invention Convention on Tuesday 10th & 17th January.

At Deanshanger Primary School we participated in the Invention Convention. This even encourages our students explore new skills such as problem-identification, problem-solving, entrepreneurship and looking at becoming more creative. The afternoon was full of scientific discussion and presentation of their inventions. It was a fun activity for some of our reception children to visit as they have their first experience of this event.

We are proud of each and every child that worked hard on an invention. We hope the parent/carers enjoyed coming in to see the inventions. It's so nice we can share these experiences with you in person again.

At DPS and with our friends in the Grand Union Partnership, we believe this convention builds confidence in invention, innovation and provides an early introduction to entrepreneurship. As you can see from the pictures below it was a huge success and the children enjoyed showing off their innovative designs.

On the 17th January both New Bradwell and Jubilee Wood students joined us for a show and tell on their inventions. The children managed to present and show off their inventions with energy and enthusiasm. You can see from the pictures in this gallery its confirms this is a special event that puts the children practical and creative skills to the test.
