Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you all had a wonderful half-term break and had the chance to relax and recharge. We are looking forward to a productive and exciting term ahead, with plenty of enriching experiences planned for the children.

Before we look ahead, let’s take a moment to celebrate some of the fantastic events that took place last term. We ended on a high with a brilliant class assembly from Year 5. Mr Ward’s class entertained us by sharing their learning from this year so far, ending with a fantastic medley of songs they had prepared for their Young Voices concert. It was a joy to see their enthusiasm and talent!

Over the half-term break, we also saw some improvements to our school environment, with all internal doors being replaced. These upgrades contribute to creating a safer and more welcoming space for our children.

We are excited to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday, 6 th March! We invite all the children to come dressed as their favourite book character and bring in their favourite book to share with classmates. Throughout the day, children will take part in a range of reading activities, helping to further inspire their love of books.

Continuing our celebration of reading, on the 18th of March, we will have a visit from an author Seth Burkett, a children’s author with an incredible story to share. Seth’s journey from aspiring writer to published author, alongside his experience as a professional football player, will inspire our children to follow their dreams. The day will start with a whole-school assembly, followed by engaging workshops for each group. Seth’s books will be available to purchase on the day, and he will be signing copies for the children at the end of the day. I would like to thank the PTA for helping fund this experience with some of the funds you as parents have raised.

The book fair has arrived in school this week, and parents and children are welcome to browse and purchase books after school each day. The book fair will be set up in the hall, and every purchase helps support our school in getting new books for our classroom and library

Events coming up in school will be posted on the school calendar on our website, but just for your convenience, please see below for a selection to note:
