Dear Parents and Carers,

As we approach half-term break, I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful holiday. We hope you enjoy this time with your families and recharge for the term ahead. School will resume on Monday, 4th November and we look forward to welcoming everyone back. When we return, we are excited to introduce Emma Hart, who will be joining our Deanshanger team as a new teaching assistant in Year 1. We are confident that Mrs Hart will be a fantastic addition, and we know that will give her a warm welcome as she settles into her new role.

Governors Message

The Deanshanger Primary School Local Academy Committee (LAC) is a board of governors who meet regularly to provide strategic guidance for the school. Half-termly LAC meetings, held in the evening, are complemented by governor visits to the school during the school day to meet with staff and children alike. Governors work with the headteacher and senior leadership team to set the school’s vision, aims and objectives, and approve the school budget.

Our focus this academic year will include monitoring the impact of the Rapid Improvement Plan that has been put in place by the Grand Union Partnership and school leadership team.
