Sunflower Award
at Deanshanger Primary School

 

In memory of Mrs Annette Robson

Annette was a very special lady and a highly valued member of staff. She is sorely missed at Deanshanger Primary School.

As the sunflower was her favourite flower, we had created a termly Sunflower Award to recognise and celebrate children that show the attributes that she showed daily - kindness, caring, positivity, strength and loyalty.

Reception Award - Carter

I’m delighted to give Carter the sunflower award. He has such a positive presence in our classroom and throughout the school. He comes into school every day with a lovely smile and with enthusiasm.  He shows pride in his learning and goes above and beyond in all areas of school life.

Year 1 Award - Bella

Bella comes into school every day with a beautiful, warm, caring smile, which is just completely infectious! Everyone across year 1 would agree she is a little shining superstar!

Year 2 Award- Thomas

Thomas has shown resilience, determination and always has a positive attitude. He is keen to do well but also help others.He started Year 2 taking learning in his stride and settled in well.

Year 3 Award- Sofia

Sofia demonstrates everyday so many of the fabulous qualities of Mrs Robson. Sofia is proactive in seeking out tasks to complete to make running the classroom smoother. She is friendly to everyone she meets, showing a great sense of empathy and care.

Year 4 Award - Olivia-Rose

This person has been chosen for the Sunflower Award because they always come into school with a beaming smile and a positive 'can do' attitude. She is a wonderfully kind and considerate member of Year 4.

Year 5 Award- Ciaran

 

Ciaran is an absolute joy to have in the Classroom. He is always smiling, has a really positive attitude towards his learning and is always keen to improve. Ciaran is incredibly kind to all his classmates and is often to be  found helping out others with their learning.

Year 6 Award- Fleur

Fleur is always considerate and kind to others. She has total empathy with other people and their situations. Fleur is understanding and helpful. She always puts herself out of her comfort zone and tries her best! She shows many remarkable qualities just like Mrs Robson. Fleur is an amazing person!
