Deanshanger Primary School - Newsletter 8   4-12-2020

We normally write a newsletter every two weeks but there is a lot going on at the moment and hence this mini version!

Wishing all of our families celebrating this weekend a happy and safe Diwali

How did Pudsey Bear become the mascot for Children In Need and which shops are selling him?Thank you for helping us to raise £384.73 for Children in Need. An incredible amount for an extremely worthwhile charity

We are delighted to introduce Mr. and Mrs. Davis' new son to you - Oliver. What a gorgeous little boy!

Oliver was born on 13th October.

Our very best wishes extend to the whole family.

Thank you very much for continuing to stick to our guidance about drop off and pick up times ie, one adult only, sticking to the staggered timings, wearing masks (where possible) and socially distancing from each other.  We appreciate that some of you have to wait a few minutes because of the different timings for your children, but can we please remind you to continue to observe distancing at this time and ensure that the children from different bubbles continue to keep their distance too. We know how hard this is!

Please continue to let us know immediately if anyone in your family or bubble tests positive for COVID-19. This information is crucial for us to make plans to keep school life operating as safely as possible. If this information is known outside regular school hours, please always send an email as I check these regularly.

Thank you

Deanshanger Advent - A special message from Mrs Emma Ward

Please help bAdvent Wreath & Candles - The Meaning, History and Traditionring some festive joy to our wonderful village by suitably decorating a window in your home that is visible from the path or road.

The window will need to be lit so that it can be seen at night, by the 24th December the village will hopefully have a lovely display that encourages the residents to sample the joys of our village in a COVID safe manner.
